Originally fitted to Ford GPWs between February 1942 and July 1942 inclusive.

The body kit includes: A Ford GPW type A body, a standard grille, an engine cover, the left front wing, the right front wing and an assembled windscreen frame.

Ford GPW Type A body details:

Ford marking on the rear panel - glove box - rounded petrol tank compartment on the front floor - stamping of the rectangular tool compartment latches on the rear wheel arches - Ford GPW type rear bench seat frame supports - tool compartment lids ribbed - support for the vertical rear lights on the rear panel - reinforcing ribs on the rear wheel arches.

MANUFACTURING IN ANTI-CORROSION TREATED STEEL BY CATAPHORESIS

Assembly order:

1. Place the body on the chassis and move it back as far as possible against the machine-gun support plate.

2.Screw the two front fenders onto the frame.

3.Move the body forward up against the front fenders then screw the body to the fenders.

4.Do not attempt to align the rear of the body to the rear of the frame.

5.Drill the floor then bolt the box to the frame.

It is normal to see alignment differences between the rear of the body and the rear frame cross member.

If you proceed differently, you risk having gaps between the fenders and the body, making it impossible to assemble it.
